Moving Day
As I have said in previous postings, I am always personally buying and selling real estate. I move ALL the time!!
Let's put this into perspective- my youngest will be 3 years old in August, and as of today, he is officially in his 5th home! Moving is easy for me because I do it so often, but if you are not organized it can be very exhausting!!
Once I've committed to moving, I start packing 1 month prior to my closing date. I try to pack at least 3 boxes a day and make up a schedule as to what I will pack weekly. Moving is a GREAT opportunity to purge! A good rule of thumb to follow is if you haven't used it in 6 months, get rid of it!!
My movers arrived at 9am this morning. When 5pm rolls around and my work day comes to an end, thanks to my movers, my home will be completely set-up and ready for me to enjoy it!
If my movers are arriving at 9am, I always make sure to hire a handy man to show up around 1:30pm on moving day. This is so helpful because he can hang TVs, picture frames, curtains, blinds or whatever else you need done! Even if you just hire him for 3 hours, in my opinion it is well worth the money!! I also always recommend hiring a cleaning lady within a couple of days following your move. Instead of worrying about cleaning your home, you can concentrate on unpacking and organizing!
With my vast experience in moving, I can't stress enough the importance of hiring a reputable and responsible moving company. I highly recommend hiring Heartland Moving and Storage. Aside from the fact that they do all the work, they provide helpful moving tips along with a moving checklist that will help make your move much more enjoyable! I encourage you to contact Richard (owner of Heartland Moving and Storage) at 16136201116 to help you with all your moving needs!
